Really loved reading 'Blood Runs Cold'! Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys reading crime fiction.
The relationship between DS Max Craigie, DC Janie Calder and their team is written really well. You really get to know the characters and the dynamics between them are great. Setting it in Scotland really adds to the story and you really feel as if you are following the characters throughout the story.
Overall the plot is well though through and I genuinely couldn't put it down.
The chapters are quite short, which I really enjoy in crime fiction. It seems to keep the pace of the story going with short sharp chapters that drop in little nuggets of information that make you want to keep reading. Also it's super easy to say you'll just read one more chapter as they are so short, then end up carrying on!
