Great Police Partnership Full of Dry Wit and Suspense!
Neil Lancaster is one of my favourite authors and have read all of his books to date so I was really looking forward to reading Blood Runs Cold.
I really enjoy the relationship that he has with his partner in the police force and the camaraderie that they all hold together, it's full of dark humour and dry wit which I love.
I liked the overall story and plot but do feel that at certain points the book could have taken a few more dark and twisty turns and been a bit more surprised as I felt that some parts were a bit predictable.
I also struggled with the names of some of the characters and didn't feel very connected to them, I know it's about an Albanian girl who has been trafficked but nonetheless, I just didn't feel as close to her as I should have done.
I am happy to have read the book but I do feel that previous books by Lancaster are better hence 4 stars. I look forward to his next book!
