*Includes spoilers* I adore a good crime novel and was completely gripped by this one. I’ve never read a book by Neil Lancaster before but I would definitely recommend him to fellow crime readers. Blood runs cold is a story that follows a team of Scottish cops who form a anticorruption operation to weedle out the dirty cops hiding in the police departments. Headed my a foul mouthed and ultimately likeable chap called Ross using his team made up of cops and tech specialists, they are able to bring down a dangerous Albania gangster. The gangster known as the surgeon for his love of slicing people up will stop at nothing to make sure his crime operation isn’t dragged into the actions of a brothel owners and ex human tracker/drug smuggler. Loved every minute of it and if you like writers such as James Patterson, Ian rankin then this is a must read for you!
