I can't begin to tell you how much I loved this book which really surprised me because this isn't a genre I would usual pick up. I am however a big fan of Line of duty and this book reminded me of the show. The book covers some really difficult topics including sexual exploitation, kidnapping and corruption, and yet handles them really well with its excellent switching between perspectives.
I was also a fan of how it much of the violence was implied rather than graphic as that is something that had put me off this genre before. I have already ordered the earlier books in the series to now read after finishing this one. However another plus of this book is that you can read it without ever having to have read the earlier novels.

Be prepared to be on the edge of your seat throughout reading due to the truly brilliant storytelling and brilliantly thought out characters.
