I love a thriller and I am a big fan of the Line of Duty TV series. It was tense as we follow the story of Affi who was previously a victim of trafficking and moved to Scotland to start a new life. However, Affi gets kidnapped by the traffickers again while on a run. DS Max and DC Janie investigates Affi's whereabouts but find out that there is a mole leaking information to the Albanian crime boss, so they are racing against time to find Affi and to stop other innocent people become a victim of trafficking. I thought some parts were a bit too coincidental i.e. an NCA anti trafficking operation following Jetmir. It also repeats itself quite a bit i.e. mentioning that Affi is an athlete or about trafficking previously.
Having said that this is the first book I've read from this author and I would definitely read another book from Neil Lancaster.
