Blood Runs Cold by Neil Lancaster is not my usual kind of read but I was keen to try a different genre and this looked interesting.
This novel tells the story of Affi and her move to the UK following a traumatic time of bring embroiled in drug trafficking. As her story unfolds, the book opens up to a much wider story involving the police and their attempts to bring down the criminal gang behind it all.
I got into the story really quickly and liked the pace of this book - the short chapters helped with that and I was keen to continue reading to find out what would happen next. This book made me question the crimes that go on in real life and it was hard to think about what must go on. I thought this was a well written story about a really difficult topic - it was easy to follow too.
I would recommend this book to others if they are looking for a crime drama to get into to.
