Immediately, I was gripped. I like the fact that the story opens on a ship heading towards Dover. The description of the character Narrey is sufficiently detailed both to engage and enthral the reader. Furthermore, I am interested to find out more about the Stuart king and the conflict between the Protestants and Catholics.
