Firstly im not sure if im right but this feels like a sequel to me and im joining events half way through.
The novel is beautifully descriptive and clearly extensively researched which is always a bonus with a novel set back in time. Sometimes authors skimp on the research and then the story feels wrong. This wasn't the case.
Its a book i may certainly have a go at, or perhaps the first book if there is one.
