I am the first to admit that this is not my normal type of book and I was apprehensive to begin reading it. The first look of this book really drew me in and made me want to read more.
I felt like I was able to connect with the characters and I really enjoyed the writing style. It educated me beyond belief in relation to this time period and has left me wanting to research more and educate myself further.
I love the cover and design of this book which is another thing that drew me in, it did not disappoint when it arrived in the post.
I feel like that because this isn’t my normal type of book I did struggle and it took me a lot longer to read due to the fact in parts I struggled to follow. That is by no means the fault of the author but my own ignorance upon the subject. I will return to this book and read it again once I have educated myself further.
