I read Bob vs the Selfie Zombies by Andy Jones with my son who is much closer to the predicted target audience and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a great book for kids (probably around 10 years old?) but adults should enjoy it well enough too as a bedtime read. The plot is involving enough. There is plenty of excitement and a little peril too. Maybe some of it is there mainly to carry the jokes but they are generally pretty successful even if they often generate more of a wry smile or groan than a laugh out loud moment. It is a good read though. A good page turner but also surprisingly emotive at times. The illustrations by Robin Boydon are amusing and work will as a companion to the text and contribute greatly to the overall reading experience. We are looking forward to see what Andy Jones writes next. Bring on more Selfie Zombies. We're ready for them.
