A great read for middle grade readers. The chapter length and language is perfect for its age range. It’s a lot of fun and the illustrations really add to the enjoyment of this book. It’s got a fun mix of sci-fi, time travel and adventure. There’s some great characters to follow, who I think children will really like.
Adults will enjoy the “Dad jokes”!
It’s not too graphic for younger children, and older readers might get memories of the Demon Headmaster from it. There’s also a nice message within the book about not losing your inner child.
The cover is nice and bright and eye catching and would be fun to pick off a shelf. The zombies aren’t too scary for young readers, but give an idea of the creatures inside. Just be careful of the selfie camera!
