I had previously read Bookshop Girl and quite enjoyed it. It was lighthearted and enjoyable, with a great cast of characters, however it didn't entirely blow me away, so I was looking forward to reading the second offering from this author.
I felt this sequel was much stronger and as a result, I became much more engrossed in the book. Whilst I found the two main characters, Paige and Holly slightly annoying in the first book (mainly due to their dialogue being constantly peppered with OMGs and LOLs), they were really fleshed out in this second book and consequently, much more likeable.
Any book about books is going to win points with me, and as this is set at a literary festival, it made it even more interesting. A cracking yarn with fun characters and a feel good factor!
