The second book in the series follows Paige and her best friend Holly on from their adventure of saving their little bookshop in their home town and all the way to Skegton-on-sea for the biggest literary festival ever.

Just from reading the first book, I knew instantly that the second would bring even more laughter and 'aww' moments with the girls. We get a chance to see Paige meet and hopefully find a really nice boy again while trying to survive the demands of a Romance novelist who just seems to be the worst thing since mushy peas according to Paige.
We see both Paige and Holly's ups and downs of working somewhere new, somewhere where they have never been before and not only try to survive the hassle of fans and the dreadful colour pink, but to try and meet their favorite author and illustrator. But sometimes, meeting your idols aren't always the best thing to do...neither are they when you sneak after them (thanks Holly), to try and spy on what they are doing...it's just going to end in disaster.

Filled with stomach churning funny moments, Life's a beach is a quick witted read which is going to leave you wanting more and more of Paige and Holly's adventures, both in and out of their little bookshop in the middle of a town no one has ever really heard of.
