Too young for me!
I initially was drawn to this novel because I saw the “A Bookshop Girl Novel” and as I love books and bookshops, thought it was more of a meaty read set in a bookshop. Perhaps if I had read the first look, I would have realised that this was a quirky book more appropriate for the younger generation and not my choice at all. I had not heard of the first book nor in fact realised that this was the second in a trilogy.
The language is quite juvenile and perhaps would appeal more to the technology generation so I could not really identify with either characters or in fact the content.
I think that it would be unfair to give “Life’s A Beach” a bad rating just because it is not my cup of tea and so have gone with three stars.
