This tale is like a breath of fresh air. The main protagonist has an unfortunate name for someone who works in a bookshop, Paige Turner, but you have to admit if books are your thing you couldn't have a better name. I'm almost tempted to change mine.
It is fun and breezy and actually makes you think about the sad devolution of the town centre local, independent, bookshop. There aren't many left and those that are cling on by their very fingertips hoping to simply break even. I admit I'm part of the problem as I either buy from a large chain store - you know the one I mean - or, more and more frequently, I succumb to the delights of the e-reader. Neither of which prevent books being published but they don't support a diverse town centre.
