I feel sorry for Paige the central character in this book. Confronted with the modern day dilemma of a local service closing, Paige is determined that the book shop will survive to fight another day.
Paige is an endearing young woman who feels wronged. She shows a strength of character that any parent would be proud of. She has spent many hours over many years in the book shop. It is her past, her present and will be her future, if she has anything to do with it.
The others in the book make an interesting collection. Perhaps between them they really can rescue the book shop. The book suggests tears and heartache, but also fun and frolics a plenty.
I would like to win this book to see a special sixteen year old make a difference. She really believes she can, so watch this space.
