The Bookshop Girl is so good! I loved it! It is so refreshing to read a teen book that isn't about really dark and sad topics but is uplifting and just a fun story about friendship and fighting for what you believe in. It is so funny as well! Paige is the most relatable character I have ever some across. The small town where she lives is portrayed so convincingly and the descriptions are so funny and just completely accurate of what it is like being a teenager living in a tiny town. I love that it is about female friendship and female empowerment as well as boys and books and art. The chapters are short and sweet and the writing is so good! The thoughts and feelings and everything Paige says as a sixteen year old hanging out with her friends is so true to life, it just makes me feel like the author really experienced this and that makes it so genuine and a really great read.
