Lovely, comforting and gorgeous read.
This book really stood out to me at first because of the gorgeous and quirky illustration on the front cover. However, it was the sweet story and amazing writing that left me wanting more.
Paige, our protagonist, is such a sweet and sensitive soul but also a badass individual who is independent and ready to take on the world. I really admired how mature she was throughout the book, as this was something I was afraid of after reading the blurb. I felt she was such a relatable and kind character who many people would aspire to be like because of her love for reading and tenacity.
The authors way of writing is very melodic; each sentence and paragraph flowed nicely and was like a breath of fresh air. I didn't find the story 'cringey' or 'over-the-top' like similar novellas such as this usually are. In fact, I could see this story being turned into a classic YA film as it could inspire many young people.
I highly recommend to anyone who is in need of a pick-me-up, and someone who enjoys laughter and warmth within a novella.
