This book follows the life of teenage girl and book enthusiast, Paige Turner (yes, really) who sets out to save the one and only bookshop of the town.

The main characters are quite likeable and funny. It shows a somewhat realistic portrayal of the life and friendship of the two teenage girls. I also like how this book subverts from the stereotypes of youths and shows how they fight for what they believe in, making it quite a positive outlook of teenagers.

My initial thoughts of this book was that I was unsure of how the plot would develop. As I begun reading, I thought it started off quite slow. The story is written in the point of view of a sixteen year old which clearly reflects of the writing style. Personally, I thought it was quite cringy to read, especially the use of language like oh em gee, and Facey B? Even for a teenager that would be slightly over the top. Therefore, I think this would suit younger readers, perhaps for under the age of 14.

Overall, I did enjoy some parts of the book but it was hard to get in to at the beginning. It was funny at times and quite a good read in general.
