For a girl the age of 16 and under it’s the perfect read, I could relate to so much of her stuffing her face, not liking PE and the classic ‘there’s a choc ice in the freezer’ line.
I love how the focus is on recovering the book store, as it is something we see daily now, people are no longer turning to paper copies and solice in the library and rather continually being busy whilst reading on the go or listening making the purpose different to its peaceful time as it once was before.
The insert of a clumsy boy at the book store was a little cliché, yet I believe the emotions the protagonist went through are definitely relatable to teens therefore will engage certain variety’s of readers if they aren’t keen on the book story line so can cater to a selection of themed readers.
Would definitely reccomend to anyone going through their gsces as a little reminder that it isn’t easy but you’re not alone in the sweaty, hungry, awkwardness of being 15/16
