Unfortunately I am unable to make an informed opinion regarding this book because the First Look button was not made available to me.
I believe that Bex Hogan is an established YA author and so I expect that this, her first middle grade book, will be an accomplished novel.I have given a star rating based on the premise of the story and the bright and lively cover.
Perhaps the publishing industry needs more reviews for the books aimed at young readers and so for the past year your selection has been mainly children’s and YA fiction. However I know that many of your reviewers ( myself included) would prefer a more balanced selection to look at.It would be massively appreciated if we could have more adult books for 2024 !
