This novel was really good. The characters were well written and the description of the lands and the badlands were really descriptive- you could almost feel yourself there. I liked the way the three main character's stories were told in chapter's and usually ended with a bit of a cliffhanger!.. The chapter's when the character's came together were also really good. I love the extra character's that were in these chapter's and especially loved the scientist and his bus full of 'animals' The description's of these animal's were absolutely fantastic and wonderful. This is the sort of novel I would have loved as a child - I thought it was pretty good now as an adult ! This is definitely a book and an author to watch out for. I can see this being very popular and maybe made in to a film or children's programme. Definitely a lovely read for young children
