I enjoyed the opening chapters. This appears to be more than just a vet book, but also a look at what London was like in the 1970's to a young vet from Canada.
In the first few chapters, we've already met some wonderful characters, and some animals too. Horrified to read about the Harrods 'pet shop' - it shows how much animal welfare has changed in the past 50 years.
