The comparisons with James Herriot are inevitable - especially as I happen to be listening to the audio book version of Every Living Thing - and this seems a similarly good natured and engaging collection of cases. As with the James Herriot books the people and their way of life are as interesting as the animals especially viewed through the eyes of an outsider.
The contrast in the location and time period, since London in the 1970s seems a world away from Yorkshire in the 1940s, would make this an attractive addition to my reading list.
