I really enjoyed the comic writing style of Bruce Fogle. Giving an insight into life of a vet in the 1970s from the view of someone not native to Britain and all its idiosyncrasies. Bruce came to England from Canada thinking it would be easy as he spoke the language already and grew up knowing all about the country but when he arrives he realises its far from what he had learnt. Looking after all sorts of animals from pedigree show dogs to the exotic animals that used to be sold in Harrods. I really enjoyed this and really want to read more.
