Growing up I was a big fan of my dad's James Herriott books. This sounds like an updated version for a new generation... Young newly qualified vet arrives in a new city, new country, probably assuming he knows it all. Life has a habit of biting people with that attitude in the backside, to prove that they don't in face know much at all.
