I love the concept of this book. The autobiography of Bruce Fogle, whose name we may be unfamiliar with but, due to his work as a vet in London's Knightsbridge district, he came into contact with world famous celebrities we do know, such as Elizabeth Taylor, The Beatles' Paul McCartney and several members of royalty. It is a story that may sound fictional but is based on facts! We get a clear mood of 1970s London from the front cover, especially in Fogle's style, as he worked in the affluent and exciting district where his Canadian roots made him stand out while working in the likes of Harrod's Zoo Department! Truth sometimes is stranger than fiction, as Fogle's accounts of his early life illustrate. This has all the earmarks of a really great read.
