Way back in the 1970s I was and in fact still am, a great fan of the James Herriott books. This book reads like it is the same journey in life as a veterinary surgeon, but this time in 1970s London. On reading the first impression I like the fact that it progresses through his hardships and funny moments to what sounds like a very readable book that I would love to read more of.
