What a great read this was. I found out all sorts of facts I did not know, both about Bruce Fogel and people and animals of various kinds he was involved with. I was surprised to realise how different some of the vet practises and thinking were in the 1970s compared to now. I had also forgotten Harrods used to have an exotic animal and pet department.
It was interesting to follow his personal life as well as his professional one through to his marriage. Moving to London from Canada was quite a culture shock for Bruce, and having arrived there at the end of the swinging sixties and into the flower power seventies he had to adapt to a different life style. He and wife Julia Foster knew a lot of very well known stars and celebrities of the time, many of whom are still seen on screen, as is she.
