Fogle is a household name, but just how many people know of Dr Bruce Fogle. Truth be told, despite the fact I work in the same industry as him, I did not know his name. This book automatically peaked my interest at the mention of veterinary work at ZSL London Zoo and Harrods pet store. These are key parts of history that I am genuinely interested in. This book is insightful into the practice of veterinary medicine in the 1970's, and it gives you much to be thankful for now in modern practice. Each page that describes veterinary work is educational, and Bruce has ensured to give descriptions of some of the tougher terminology to wrap your head around.
I would recommend reading this book to anyone with a strong love for animals, history and veterinary practice. The latter is not essential though, but it does help to have a baseline of interest as it is a strong topic through the book (as the title suggests).
