I was unsure what to think about this book before reading, biographies can be a difficult genre to break but I found this book enjoyable and very interesting information of a time gone by.

I can understand why Bruce Fogle decided to write this - what an amazing career to have experienced. It was beautifully written, with enough information but also not an overload of 'vet' terms.

This young Canadian really worked hard for his clinics and had a true passion for treating animals. This novel tells of his experiences over the first few years of learning on the job.

It was a great fun era and the writing style described this perfectly. London in the 1970s must have been an amazing, vibrant place to live.

I would highly recommend this book if you are a lover of animals, if you are a vet or if you just like reading a well written book by a genuinely nice guy.
