Wow how exciting. Not only a good book about how a Canadian fits into London life and train as a vet. It was good to visit the 1970’s again and look at it from a different prospect. The animals in the book well I could have brought them all home . Some of the owners you totally feel so sorry for them. I was laughing at points and trying not to cry at other parts. The cover shows just a fraction of the animals contained in the book.
Call the vet just shows people at their best and just how much compassion people have for each other and especially man’s bed friend. Their pets and in some cases their only companion. Treatments may have changed but empathy for others gladly hasn’t.This is a book that I would definitely recommend to others. I would like to see a series maybe like all creatures great and small. Please take time to read this lovely book as soon as possible
