I enjoyed this autobiography the majority of my time reading it. I found it sometimes very funny, and most of the time - entertaining. I liked the anecdotes and retelling of stories, especially the writing style that almost made me feel included as member of the audience. I felt as though the author was speaking directly to me, telling their stories and this increased the book’s intimacy.

However I found it sometimes lacking, and becoming slower and a bit boring at times. The ups and downs of being a vet are discussed but sometimes the writer goes off on a tangent too much and rambles about a topic for too long. This means some of the less exciting stories seem to last too long and I found myself occasionally skipping pages where I just was not entertained.

I liked this autobiography as a whole because it was engaging and interesting just not all of the time
