I received a complimentary copy of this book from Readers First in exchange for an honest review.

Call The Vet by Bruce Fogle is an endearing memoir of Bruce's life as a young vet in Knightsbridge, London in the 1970s. I felt like I got to know Bruce quite well through the stories that he shared, and the book offered a real insight into both his mind and his life at that time. He described situations vividly and I found that this really brought them to life for me. The author is careful to explain any terminology that is used to ensure the reader understands clearly what is being said, and offers a real insight into veterinary practices in the 1970s, as well as mentions of the Harrods pet store and London Zoo. Bruce Fogle also discusses the challenges he faced moving from Canada to London, and it was interesting to read how an 'outsider' viewed British habits and quirks.
