Call the Vet begins in the 1970’s at the very start of Bruce Fogle’s career. He tells us about his first job as a vet in London, dealing with very upmarket clients and their pets, as well as checking on the pets for sale in Harrods.
I found it very interesting to read how the consultations and treatments have changed in a relatively short period of time, and I was pleased to read about the author’s personal life alongside the professional.
I very much enjoyed this book, its’s not my usual read but it is to be recommended for sure.
The cover is very eye catching and I am interested in finding out more about the author.
Some of the stories shared are quite difficult to read, but as it is a true and accurate recollection of the author’s career, I felt it was the right thing to include them.
