This book is the memoirs of a young vet in the 1970s , when he comes to England from Canada with a scholarship to London’s Regent’s Park zoo and high hopes after graduating at the top veterinary school. His hopes and dreams are soon put to the test with him being employed as assistant vet at the exclusive Knightsbridge veterinary practice Woodrow and singleton with is exclusive upper class, and other famous and wealthy clients. He has a delusion that he’s very British but soon finds that’s not the case , he’s taken aback by the very British stiff upper lip, this book shows how far the veterinary world has come since he started out, but also shows there’s a way to go, had to laugh at some of his antidotes though, all in all was not that bad of a book to read and would read another if he brought one out, was surprised at this because it’s not that sort of book I normally read
