I loved this book I am a child of the sixties of a family of animal lovers . I have recollections of visiting Harrods Pet Shop on the top floor when I came to London on my summer holidays and this was one of our musts with every visit . So this book brought back lovely family memories which I had forgotten.
The animal practice vet stories also held great appeal as my family also have vets and we often hear stories of the good bad and simply incredible tales of heroic and resilient farm and domestic pets. It was lovely to hear the old fashioned methods and how it was done 50 years ago and how life has moved on to the high technology that is available in surgeries and animal hospitals today although like everything in advanced medicine not everything can be saved and the sad and dismal are all part of the job Bruce Fogel chose when he joined the animals in the circle of life.
