THis book, was overall a very good read even though, it was not quite what i was expecting. I was expecting a modern day themed diary type thing and to be quite boring to be honest. It was more based in the 70's and the ups and downs of his life fresh out of vetinary school which was really interesting and even heart wrenching at times. I thouroughly enjoyed this book and would highly reccommend it too anyone who is interested in animals/vets or just anyone in general as it was really easy to get engrossed in and you picture yourself in his shoes which makes it a really enjoyable and emotional read. I learned a lot, and not just about animals and vets, but life its self. I think that it teaches a really valuable life lesson, but you will have to read it to find that out... I advise, that you get your hands on this book as you as you can and read away!!!!!
