This book is an honest, tell it all, account of life as a London vet during the 1970's.

Bruce arrives from Canada to work in the capital, his position at a vets in Knightsbridge led him to work with not just common domestic pets but also the unusual, in charge of the zoo department at Harrods he often had to deal with the more exotic. His clients were a broad range of people and included the famous and well known. The book not only tells of his experiences with the animals but also tells the account of Bruce's life and relationships. It tells of the life lessons he learnt from those that he came into contact with and in particular the veterinary nurses.

I think this is a lovely book, written with real honesty and in a light hearted and humorous way. A great look back as to what life was like in the 1970's and how different things are today. I really enjoyed it.
