I am enjoying this story, as I think it offers a more realistic view beyond the romantic period dramas of what life would really be like for women in 18th century England. Marrying for security & burying your children are things we would not associate our modern lives with, and are often erased from rosy period dramas. It is therefore also interesting to see how marriage is working out for Elizabeth & Mr Darcy, and the terrible pressures Elizabeth faces in so far being unable to deliver a child. I really look forward to reading more - the setting, style of writing and intrigue of what could have happened next puts this book high up the list! The cover is also inviting and would have immediately pulled me in at a book shop.
