A necessary continuation?
I’m not wholly convinced that a piece of classic literature, so ingrained upon public conscious for such a long time, really needs a follow up such as this.
I felt very aware that I was reading someone paying homage to Austen, rather than a unique an interesting voice.
It is likely that I’m not really the target audience, and that there is a market for people who loved the world of Pride and Prejudice and want to inhabit it once again. This book is for them, not for me.
