As a fan of the original book, I find myself enchanted by the thought of being reacquainted with some of the characters from Pride and Prejudice. So clever of the Author to choose Charlotte Lucas to focus on. Not only does that mean we get to see more of love-to-hate character's from Austen's original, such as Mr Collins and Lady Catherine, but it also spotlights the unenviable position of women with few prospects.
