When Pride and Prejudice ended I was left with a strong longing to discover what happened to Elizabeth's friend, Charlotte. I definitely thought that Charlotte had made an unusual choice in marrying Mr Collins. I was very interested to read the beginning of this novel and I felt that Helen Moffett has captured the language of the time well. I found the beginning to be quite shocking and sad in equal measure and it made me interested to read more.
