I haven’t read Pride and Prejudice for such a long time but these opening chapters quickly transport you back to that time and place with the Bennet sisters. A time immersed in the Georgian period where a woman’s future was dependent upon the man she married and having male heirs. This book feels like it is written perfectly for the 21st century.
