The blurb really grabbed me as I think the idea of exploring a minor characters’ perspective is always going to be interesting, and Charlotte seems like a particularly intriguing character to explore.
The first look wasn’t quite what I was expecting and don’t grab me as much as I’d hoped but quite a few interesting themes about issues in this historical setting were brought up which gives promise for the rest of the book.
