It has been a while since I have read anything from the historical fiction genre, but I found this to be a really interesting 'follow on' to Pride and Prejudice, a classic I have loved from a young age. My heart broke at the loss of Tom, with the author detailing the pain and anguish of Charlotte and Mr Collins in a sensitive yet realistic way. The front cover is beautiful and fits what I have read so far. I felt the letter referenced the letters Charlotte received following Tom's death, although, I hope this has more significance later within the book. I'm really looking forward to the release of this so I can continue to read more and hopefully get back into historical fiction again.
