As a big fan of both Pride and Prejudice and Longbourn, the extract from Charlotte does not disappoint.
The grief from the death of Charlotte's young son Tom is palpable and raw. The death also results in placing Charlotte's remaining children, both daughters, in an untenable position as to their future inheritance. Placing them in the same position as their mother and the Bennet sisters, relying on the 'lottery of marriage'.
I can't wait to September to read more about the lives of both Charlotte and Mr Collins.
