I don't often choose to read periodic novels, although this one has definitely grabbed my attention; from the first read, it seems to be very well written, and the characters sound very interesting. Unfortunately, I have not (yet) read pride and prejudice, but would love to read this book so feel that I need to catch up first! I also love the front cover and the chapter length from this first read.
