The first thing that attracted me to this book was the cover it’s absolutely flawless!
wasn't sure that i'd enjoy this book as it’s not my typical genre but with a cover like that I couldn’t help but read the first impression & im bloody glad I did. i usually find books that are based in the past quite difficult to get into, charlotte is a likeable, relatable character who i really grew to empathise with very quickly. i feel like a lot of women can relate to her character, she seems like a strong, independent woman who will do her best to make sure her daughters aren't victim to the patriarchal society. i feel like charlotte is a character who will surprise us, and that's why i say i am surprised by this first impression because i didn't expect that i'd like it as much as i do. the book seems as it will quickly become an extension to the collection of classics that everyone knows and loves. interested to read more! i want and neeeed this book!
