If you love everything Jane Austen this is a book for you. Helen Moffett has beautifully captured the essence of the characters created by Austen and given Charlotte Lucas an individual identity that perfectly fits with the little reference to her in Pride and Predjudice. Moffett has expanded a small character into a protagonist who evokes a sense of what life was like for a less prominent figure of Austens society. Well written characters and an engrossing read. I loved this book it has a warm comfortable feel to it.
